information about opportunities in your
major and intended career. |

Acquaint
you with campus resources and services. |
| a |
Discuss
academic problems or concerns. |
| a |
Help
you understand consequences of your
academic decisions (Ex. the effect on
financial aid of dropping or failing a
course) |
| a |
Clarify
academic policies and procedures. |
| a |
Monitor
your progress toward
graduation. |
When
should advising take place?
Students
enrolling at the Lex Walters Campus begin the
advisement process when they meet with an
enrollment advisor for registering for classes
for their first term at the college. After
that, they meet with an assigned
academic advisor who guides them to
graduation or until they reach stated
educational goals.
Students enrolling at the
County Centers have access to an advisor at the
center where they are enrolled.
