Piedmont Technical College students are expected to follow these advising guidelines:

• Make appointments by phone, email or office sign-up sheets.

• Seek help in decision making rather than expect your advisor to make decisions.

• Show up on time for appointments; and if unable to keep an appointment, reschedule it.

• Be open to your advisor's suggestions.

• Follow through when your advisor refers you to another resource or office.

• Become knowledgeable about college policies, procedures and requirements.

• Recognize that you are ultimately responsible for knowing and fulfilling program requirements and for meeting deadlines and financial obligations.
