Copyright Help on Campus

If you have questions about a copyright issue, the PTC Library Staff is your first line of support, and the Director of Library Services serves as Copyright Officer for the college.

Here are some of the ways that the Library can help:

  • Most Current Information
The PTC librarians follow changes in copyright laws that impact you and your students.

  • Help with Citations
The library staff can help you and/or your students add APA or MLA-style citations to research papers, articles, presentations, etc.

  • Copyright Clearance Form
When copyright questions arise, the Copyright Clearance Center can document your efforts to comply with the law.

  • Permission Services
If you need to request permission to use a copyrighted work, the library staff will act on your behalf.

  • Copyright Training
In partnership with the college's Instructional Support Center, the library will offer copyright training for employees. Training may include televised programs, online tutorials or live presentations.
