General Payment Information
Where to Go
Tuition and fees can be paid at the Business
Office located in Room 150A on the Lex
Walters Campus, Greenwood or at any of the six
County Centers. You can also pay online using
the
online payment form.
Payment Methods
Cash, check, VISA, MASTERCARD and DISCOVER are
accepted. Checks should be made payable to
Piedmont Technical College. Please include
the student's Social Security Number on all
checks.
Payment Deadlines
& Late Fees
Full payment of fees is expected before the
term begins. A $50 late fee will be charged
to those students who pay once the term
begins. With the additional late fee,
students have through the add/drop period to
pay. After the add/drop period, registration
on accounts not paid in full will be canceled
due to non-payment.
Returned Checks
There will be a $30 service charge on all
returned checks. Registration will be
canceled for any returned checks. PTC allows
no more than two returned checks per student.
After two returned checks, the college will
accept only cash or VISA, MASTERCARD or
DISCOVER.
Payment Using Financial Assistance
If
you receive a grant, loan or scholarship, your
award will be posted directly into your
student account to offset tuition and fees. If
the aid posted is not enough to cover tuition
and fees, it is your responsibility to pay the
remaining balance before the terms begins to
avoid being charged a late fee.
If
you are a late financial aid applicant, you
will need to make arrangements for payment
before classes begin. Contact the Business
Office.
After tuition and fees are applied against the
financial award, any credit balance remaining will be
available in the Campus Shop to be used for
purchases. Check the student calendar
for dates. The deadline for all registration
adjustments and Campus Shop purchases is
through the first week of the term.
Any credit balances on student accounts will
be disbursed to the student within 14 days
from the start of the term. All checks are
mailed to the permanent address. There
are no early releases.
Late financial aid applicants will have to
contact the Office of
Student Financial Aid to determine when
their funds will be available.
