David Newstead Scholarship
Piedmont Tech associate in arts student Crystal Childs, right, of Ninety Six is recognized for receiving the David Newstead Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded annually to a student who has participated in the Upward Bound program. Jim Oree, director of Upward Bound, congratulates Childs.

Kit Adkins Scholarship
Bruce Rutherford of Greenwood, right, was applauded for receiving the Kit Adkins Scholarship at Piedmont Tech’s Scholarship Luncheon. The scholarship is awarded to a student who has completed at least eight courses toward a degree, has good academic standing and works full-time. Paul DeLoache Scholarship
Susan Riser of Saluda, right, was applauded for receiving the Paul DeLoache Scholarship at Piedmont Tech’s Scholarship Luncheon. The scholarship is awarded to a student who is a resident of Saluda County, based on academic achievement. Riser is a health science student. Garrison Memorial Scholarship
