Procedures for Creating a Hybrid Course

The College encourages faculty to create online hybrid and Web-supported complimentary Web sites within their area of expertise.

Steps for Creating a Hybrid or Web-Supported Course:

  1. Inform your division administrative assistant of your intent to support your traditional or PEN course with an online WebCT class component. Provide her with the course number and section of each course you wish supported.

  2. The administrative assistant will check the 132 screen to make sure the correct instructor name and SSN has been added to the course section and will add a "WC" to the "delivery code" field of the 129 screen in SIS. They will then "sync" the section with WebCT by using the 1SE screen if registration has already opened for the term.

  3. The instructor will use the "Course Combination Request Form" to indicate how they wish the course sections combined in WebCT, if more than one course section is involved.

  4. Hybrid or Web-supported courses are not listed on the DL Web site as online courses, only fully online courses are included in this listing.

  5. Contact the WebCT Administrator, Deidre Stidom, for assistance with your hybrid course.
