Information for Disabled Users

The following information may be helpful to library visitors with disabilities:

Computer for Disabled Users
The Information Commons computer lab offers a work station especially for the use of lab and library visitors who have disabilities that make using other equipment difficult. The computer features:

  • ZoomExtra™ software that lets users view and print enlarged screen images and text

  • a large screen, color monitor

  • headphones

  • a black and white printer

  • a scanner

Main Doorways
"Push to Open" buttons will operate the automatic doors at the library's main entrance.

Parking
The most convenient disabled parking facilities are located in the large student lot on North Emerald Road next to Building K (Library Building). Spaces are close to the sidewalk ramp and the covered walkway leading to Building K's entrances.

Elevator
Should library users need an elevator, they should travel from the parking area described above to the end of the K Building walkway where they will find an elevator. The library is located on the top floor of K Building. Elevator passengers exit directly across from the library entrance.
