Library of
Congress System
The PTC Library uses the Library of Congress Classification
System to organize most of its resources. Each item is labeled with a unique call number,
comprised of a series of letters and numbers, that indicates the book's proper place
on the library shelves.
Call numbers are primarily based on subject matter and can be very helpful to a
researcher who is trying to locate information on a certain topic. The
