Driving Directions
Lex Walters Campus - Greenwood

From Greenville

  1. Take Highway 25 South to Greenwood.

  2. At intersection with Bypass 25, 72, and 178 (Greenwood Mall on right, Kmart and Ruby Tuesdays on left), take a left. 

  3. Go through five (5) traffic signals.  

  4. At the sixth (6th) signal (Burger Inn on right, Bi-Lo on left), take a left onto North Emerald Road.  

  5. Go through one (1) traffic signal (National Guard Armory will be on right).  

  6. Piedmont Technical College will be the next complex of buildings on the right.  For building and parking locations, refer to our campus map.

From Columbia via Newberry

  1. Take Interstate 26 West from Columbia to the first Newberry exit (Exit 76, Highway 219).
     
  2. Turn left off the exit.  
     
  3. As you approach Newberry, you will pass Newberry High School on your right.  
     
  4. At the second signal, turn left (Highway 76 South).  
     
  5. You will pass a fire station on your right and a Ford dealership on your left.  
     
  6. Turn right onto Highway 34 Bypass (PTC's Newberry Center at this intersection; there will also be a sign for Greenwood).  
     
  7. Go straight through two (2) intersections.  
     
  8. At the third (3rd) intersection, turn left toward Greenwood on Highway 34. 
     
  9. Stay on Highway 34 and proceed through Silverstreet, Chappels and Ninety Six.  
     
  10. Six miles past the City of Ninety Six, take a right onto Highways 25, 178, and 221 Bypass. 
     
  11. The sign says Hodges and Greenville but it is the bypass around the downtown of Greenwood. Do NOT follow the sign to Greenwood at this point. It will take you to the downtown area. 
     
  12. Go through two (2) traffic signals.   
     
  13. At the third (3rd) traffic signal (just after Subway on the right), turn right onto North Emerald Road.  
     
  14. Go through one (1) traffic signal (National Guard Armory will be on right).  
     
  15. Piedmont Technical College will be the next complex of buildings on the right.  For building and parking locations, refer to our campus map.

From Columbia via Saluda

  1. Take Highway 378 West out of Columbia toward Lexington.  Follow Highway 378 through Lexington to Saluda. 
     
  2. Pick up Highway 178 in Saluda.  
     
  3. Go through Epworth and merge into Highway 25. 
     
  4. About four (4) miles after the highway 25 joins with 178 at the second traffic light, turn right at the junction of Highways 25, 221 and 178 bypass (Exxon station on the left).  
     
  5. The sign will indicate Hodges and Greenville. Do NOT go straight ahead following the sign to Greenwood. It will take you downtown, instead of around the bypass to the college. 
     
  6. Go through two (2) traffic signals.  
     
  7. At the third (3rd) traffic signal (just after Subway on the right), turn right onto North Emerald Road.

From Augusta

  1. Take Highway 25 North from Augusta through North Augusta, Graniteville, Edgefield and Kirksey.  
     
  2. About four (4) miles after the highway 25 joins with 178 at the second traffic light, turn right at the junction of Highways 25, 221 and 178 bypass (Exxon station on the left).  The sign will indicate Hodges and Greenville. Do NOT go straight ahead following the sign to Greenwood. It will take you downtown, instead of around the bypass to the college. 
      
  3. Go through two (2) traffic signals.  
     
  4. At the third (3rd) traffic signal (just after Subway on the right), turn right onto North Emerald Road.

From Spartanburg

  1. Take Interstate 26 East to the second Clinton exit (Highway 72).
     
  2. Take Highway 72 West to Greenwood.  
     
  3. At the intersection with the Highway 72 Bypass (CVS pharmacy on left, Bojangle's on opposite corner), turn left.  
     
  4. At the next traffic signal, turn left onto North Emerald Road (Burger Inn on right, Bi-Lo on left).  
     
  5. Go through one (1) traffic signal (National Guard Armory will be on right).  
     
  6. Piedmont Technical College will be the next complex of buildings on the right.  For building and parking locations, refer to our campus map.    

From Laurens

  1. Take Highway 221 from Laurens.  
     
  2. Turn right at the junction with Highway 72.  
     
  3. At the intersection with the Highway 72 Bypass (CVS pharmacy on left, Bojangle's on opposite corner), turn left.  
     
  4. At the next traffic signal, turn left onto North Emerald Road (Burger Inn on right, Bi-Lo on left).  
     
  5. Go through one (1) traffic signal (National Guard Armory will be on right).

From Clinton

  1. Take Highway 72 West to Greenwood.  
     
  2. At the intersection with the Highway 72 Bypass (CVS pharmacy on left, Bojangle's on opposite corner), turn left.  
     
  3. At the next traffic signal, turn left onto North Emerald Road (Burger Inn on right, Bi-Lo on left).  
     
  4. Go through one (1) traffic signal (National Guard Armory will be on right).
