South Carolina Industry Appreciation Week Events 

September 14, 2005 - Each year, Piedmont Technical College looks forward to offering an exciting agenda of informative programs for the businesses and industries in our seven-county service area during Industry Appreciation Week (IAW). This is our way of saying "thank you" for partnering with Piedmont Tech for your training needs.

Piedmont Tech to Hold Waste Water Treatment Course

August 29, 2005 - Michael Pierce, right, an instructor at Piedmont Technical College, explains the importance of a quality installation when packing a centrifugal pump to participants in the college’s Industrial Waste Water Treatment course.

The course is offered in preparation for Levels A, B, C & D Waste Water Operator Certification. The next scheduled class will take place on Mondays, September 19-November 28, from 6-9 p.m. at the Lex Walters Campus in Greenwood. For more information or to register, call (864) 941-8400.

Abbeville Savings and Loan Announces BCT Endowment at Piedmont

August 16, 2005 - Abbeville Savings and Loan has just announced a generous endowment to fund scholarships for students enrolled in the Building Construction Technology program at Piedmont Technical College.

Presenting the gift to alumni/ development coordinator Fran Wiley (second from left) are, from left, Abbeville Savings and Loan president Billy Cook, director Pat Hodge, and board of directors vice chairman Jim Jones. The gift, presented to the Piedmont Technical College Foundation, will provide an enduring legacy to current and potential students who pursue post-secondary education to prepare for careers in the residential and commercial building industries.
