Student Employment Services

 
It is the policy of Piedmont Technical College to provide employment services to all current and former students.  These services include assistance with resume writing, interview preparation and job search strategies. Recent graduates and students nearing completion get top priority from the Student Success Center staff, but any current or former student may take advantage of services. 

Those seeking employment are encouraged to keep a resume on file in the Student Success Center.  To do so, an application should accompany it.  Please follow these steps:

1. Download and complete our printable application using the free Acrobat Reader Plug-in. Make sure that you sign the authorization to release your information to prospective employers.

2.

Maintain a current resume on file in the Student Success Center.  The staff can provide you with guidelines for a resume and critique your document before putting it on file if requested.

3.

Mail completed application and updated resume to:

Files may also include a PTC transcript which graduates/students must request from the Student Records Office.

Applications and resumes will be reviewed whenever an employer contacts the Student Success Center looking for candidates and is unable or unwilling to post a notice on the Jobs At A Glance page.  If a potential match can be made, the resume will be shared with the employer.  Please visit Jobs At A Glance regularly to review job listings and keep Student Success Center staff updated on your job search activities.
