Educational Talent Search serves
youth in grades six through twelve. In
addition to academic and career counseling,
participants receive information about college
admissions requirements and the various types of
student financial aid available.
The
program primarily assists students (from
families where neither parent graduated from
college) in exploring educational opportunities
and options.
The
Educational Talent Search Program at Piedmont
Technical College has currently been awarded
$227,685 to serve 800 students throughout
Greenwood County and the surrounding six
counties.
Over
302,000 American middle and high school students
are enrolled in 319 Talent Search TRIO
programs.
