Drucker Societies are all-volunteer, membership-led organizations that exist across the world in an effort to increase awareness of the effective management principles and ideas left behind by the late Peter Drucker, well-known writer and management consultant. Throughout his lifetime, Drucker authored more than 30 educational books, all of which stimulate effective management and ethical leadership. Drucker Society chapters each have an individual focus that is decided by local chapter members. A flexible organization, a Drucker Society is largely what its members choose for it to be. Some are community project societies, while others adopt a book club model approach that requires reading and discussion to apply Drucker’s principles locally. The Drucker Society of South Carolina at Piedmont Technical College is initially focusing on Drucker’s article “Managing Oneself” and will delve deeper into Drucker’s works on a monthly basis in an effort to take away principles that will have an impact on workplaces, personal lives and the community. Anyone interested in learning more about or becoming part of the local chapter of the Drucker Society of South Carolina should contact Kassie Burton at (864) 941-8575 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
