Adjunct Employment Hiring Procedure

Continuing Education Adjunct Faculty only please apply here. This application process is intended for any Continuing Education vacancies that are NOT posted on our Career Opportunities page (Employment link to the left).

Step 1: (Allow 15 Minutes)
*Instructions*
Before you begin, you must have saved, digital copies on your computer of the following:
1. Cover Letter
2. Resume
3. Transcripts (Does not have to be an official copy)
4. A completed State of SC Employment Application

Once you have # 1, 2 and 3 saved digital copies on your computer (preferred format is Word or PDF), then:

  • open the state application link above and save it on your computer
  • complete the application on your computer and save it
  • open Adjunct Application Form 1 link below
  • complete the questions asked and
  • then attach your saved state application from your computer as a document where it is requested
  • also attach saved digital copies of your cover letter indicating the position of interest
  • also attach saved digital current resume
  • and attach digital copies of transcripts; official transcripts will be required if hired

If you have been contacted by your hiring official and you are eligible for employment, please fill out the following two forms:

Step 2: (Allow 45-60 Minutes)
*Instructions*
Before you begin, you need to download and complete the form packet. Inside the zip folder, you will be provided 5 forms that must be saved on your computer, completed, re-saved, and later uploaded once you begin filling out "Human Resources Form 2". There will be 3 retirement forms in which only one needs to be completed, saved, and uploaded. The "Request Your Transcripts" form will need to be printed, completed, and sent to your academic institutions in order for your official transcripts to be sent to Piedmont Technical College. Lastly, you will need to have clear and legible scanned copies of your social security card, driver's license (other picture IDs accepted, see form for details), and a copy of a voided check.

Step 3: (Allow 15 Minutes)
*Instructions*
Before filling out this form, you should have already spoken with your point of contact either by phone or email. In this form you will need to know your point of contact's name and division in which you will be teaching for. Lastly, you will need to have discussed what training you need once you are hired.
