Distance Learning

Distance learning offers flexibility that allows you to learn almost anywhere!Piedmont Tech delivers distance learning courses in many formats. If you want a convenient, Web-based experience, consider Online Courses, Hybrid Courses or SCTechOnline. If you prefer a live course that is close to home, a PEN Course or TechNet Course might be right for you. Our staff will gladly explain each format and help you find the courses that suit your needs.

Earn a Degree or Certificate Online

If you decide that online courses are for you, also consider our online programs. Piedmont Tech offers online Associate's degrees and certificate programs that you can complete from the comfort of your home!

Preparing for an Online Course

Online students must be independent learners. You will need to regularly access and operate the Desire2Learn (D2L) course management system. You will also need to practice strict time management and study skills. We strongly urge new online students to attend one of the live orientation sessions that are offered at the beginning of each semester. For more in depth training, we also offer a 1-hour credit course, Introduction to Online Learning (CPT 117), that will help you prepare for online learning.
