Checklist for Returning Students

Apply for Admission
Returning
students who have not been enrolled at
Piedmont Technical College for more than one
year must complete a new application either
online, at the Enrollment Center at the Lex
Walters Campus-Greenwood or at any county
center. All PTC graduates who wish to
re-enroll must complete a new
application.

Apply for Financial Aid

You must complete the
Free Application for
Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) immediately to receive lottery tuition or
federal financial assistance. Do not wait
until classes start!
- Submit Transcripts
If you have
attended another college and completed
college-level coursework since attending
Piedmont Technical College, please submit an
official transcript. Click here to print a Transcript Request Form.
- Complete or Exempt the Placement Test
For some
returning students, placement testing may be
necessary. Please check with the Enrollment
Center at (864) 941-8369 or a county center near you.
- Register for Classes
Schedule an
appointment with your advisor (see
Advisor Referral Guide) to plan your
schedule of classes, register for classes and
receive a printed schedule and a statement for
tuition and fees.

- Obtain Your PTC Pathway Account Information
Obtain your
PTC Pathway PTC ID and PIN. The
PTC Pathway
Portal allows you to go online to access
your academic records, financial statements
and certain student services. This is a PTC ID and PIN number and
differs from your Federal Financial Aid PIN.
- Purchase Textbooks
Purchase
your textbooks online, at the college
bookstore, or at any county center.
