Successful online learners have access to the right computer equipment, a good understanding of the Internet, the ability to work independently, and great time management skills.

We recommend that you talk to an admissions counselor or faculty member before attempting an online course.

1. Apply for Admission

Select one of the following application methods:

• Submit an online application

• Download a printable application to mail to PTC

• Visit the Admissions Office on the Greenwood Campus

• Visit any County Campus

Important:

Once your application is filed, you must submit an official copy of your high school transcript or GED and any college transcripts. You can download the forms you need below:

• High School Transcript

• GED Transcript

• College Transcript

2. Apply for Financial Aid

You must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) immediately to receive lottery tuition or federal financial assistance. Do not wait until classes start! Click here to learn about financial aid opportunities and policies. 

3. Complete or Exempt the Placement Test

Schedule an appointment to take Piedmont Tech's placement test by calling our Admissions Office at (864) 941-8369 or by calling any County Campus. Unless waived by college personnel, you will need to take the placement test. Visit our Testing Center Web Site for more information on test exemptions and sample test questions.

4. Submit Transcripts

Submit an official copy of your high school transcript or GED and any college transcripts.

5. Talk to an Enrollment Advisor and Register for Classes

Contact a campus near you to meet with an enrollment advisor and plan your schedule of classes.. After your conversation, you'll register for classes and receive a printed schedule and a statement for tuition and fees. To do this by phone, call our Admissions Office at (864) 941-8369 or (864) 941-8370.

To pay your balance by credit card, contact our Business Office by phone at (864) 941-8321 or complete our online payment form.
