are three fields of study in Computer Technology; Programming,
Networking, and Internet. Graduates of Computer Technology will be
prepared for a career in the information technology world.
Duties
Graduates in this field may be required to:
plan, design, and
develop programming applications or network systems
program in languages
such as Visual Basic, Java, C++, HTML, Dreamweaver, or SQL
create and host web
applications
Working Conditions
Graduates in this field commonly experience:
work inside; office, computer rooms
work under stress to meet deadlines
considerable paperwork
overtime / night / weekend hours sometimes
necessary
work in cooperation with others
work with direct supervision
