- Piedmont Technical College Foundation, Inc. (“Piedmont") shall offer for purchase up to 400 tickets at $100.00 per ticket for the purpose of a drawing to select one winner to win a 1965 Factory Five Cobra Replica (the "Cobra").
- All individuals over the age of eighteen (18) years shall be eligible to purchase any number of tickets at $100.00 per ticket. This shall include members, officers and board member of Piedmont and their families, as long as tickets are purchased in the same manner and under the same conditions as any other individual eligible to purchase tickets for this drawing.
- Tickets may be purchased from any Piedmont member and their designated agents through December 1, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. On December 2, 2009 at 12 Noon, ten finalist tickets will be selected at random, with a reverse drawing for the finalist ticket holders to take place on December 17, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. at the Piedmont Technical College Employee Christmas Luncheon at Piedmont Technical College in Greenwood, South Carolina.
- Ticket stubs, as they are turned in, will be held by the Piedmont Executive Director in a secure location until the time of the drawing.
- Initially ten (10) tickets will be drawn from the container and placed into a separate container on December 2, 2009 at 12 Noon. The ten ticket holders will be notified by telephone, mail, or best efforts. On December 17, 2009, at the Piedmont Technical College Employee Christmas Luncheon, the designee will then withdraw these ten (10) tickets one at a time until only one ticket is remaining within the container. That remaining ticket shall be the prize winner and shall be able to claim his or her prize directly from Piedmont.
- No participant has to be present to win, although all participants are encouraged to be present on the day of the drawing.
- Participants agree to abide by all rules and laws of South Carolina and, by the purchase of one or more tickets as outlined herein, agree to abide by these rules as set out for this drawing.
- No person under the age of eighteen (18) years shall be eligible to purchase a ticket or to have said vehicle titled in said person's name. In addition, the winner of the drawing shall be personally responsible for all expenses associated with tag, title, and sales tax on the vehicle. All arrangements for title, tag, and tax shall be handled directly between Piedmont and the winning participant. Piedmont shall have no obligation to the participant for these services. Further, participant may be responsible for federal and state income tax as the winner on the value of said vehicle. Participant agrees that Piedmont Technical College Foundation and Piedmont Technical College have not been asked to give, nor have employees of these organizations given, any advice as to taxation of the Cobra. Each participant is encouraged to pursue advice from his or her own tax advisor as to potential tax liability.
- Piedmont shall not be responsible for any lost, stolen or mutilated drawing ticket. Further, Piedmont shall be entitled to require the winning participant to furnish verification of the ticket purchase and proper identification to show compliance with all rules stated herein.
- A maximum of 400 tickets will be offered at a price of $100.00, no part of which may be tax deductible. Any claim for federal or state deductibility of the purchase price of each ticket shall be solely decided by each participant and his or her tax advisor. At least 250 tickets must be sold before drawing will take place. The odds of winning on each ticket will be between 1 in 250 and 1 and 400, depending on the final number of tickets sold. The final number of tickets sold shall be posted on the front door of the Automotives Building at Piedmont Technical College, 620 North Emerald Road, Greenwood, S.C. on the 1st of December, 2009, and the final odds of each ticket as the winning ticket will be clearly posted at that time.
- Each participant agrees that one name will be placed on each ticket purchased, even if more than one person pools their respective resources together to purchase a ticket, and that the name placed on the ticket stub shall be the name announced as the winner. Any dispute as to which person's name is to be placed on the title, or a dispute that more than one person is entitled to be placed on the title, is beyond the scope of this fund raising event, and both Piedmont and Piedmont Technical College shall be entitled to rely on the single name place on the ticket, and shall title the vehicle in that name alone.
- Winner, by purchasing the ticket and participating in this drawing, agrees to allow a reasonable use to be made of winner's name and likeness for promotional purposes as deemed reasonable by Piedmont.
