The Office Management major develops basic office skills necessary to obtain employment in an office environment.
Additionally, coursework in management and accounting provides the basis for advancement and further professional development.
Graduates in this field may be required to:
plan, direct, coordinate and supervise work of office employees
assign responsibilities to office staff
determine priorities and scheduling of work to be done
establish procedures to be followed
prepare and submit budgets and reports to company executives
supervise employee training programs
typing; computer skills; some accounting
