Piedmont Tech students and employees may use eBooks even when the Library doors are locked! In addition to the printed books that are offered at our library locations, PTC also offers thousands of full-text eBooks.
PTC students and employees are able to use these online library resources from off-campus. If you are not using a PTC computer, you will be asked to enter a username and password to use the databases. For the username, enter your college P number. Use your 6-digit birth date as the password.
EBSCO, formerly NetLibrary, is a searchable collection of over 60,000 books. It is, by far, the most extensive eBook collection offered to Piedmont Tech students and employees.
Collection of respected reference sources covering a wide range of disciplines. Formerly available only in print, these reference tools are now searchable online as electronic books.
The R2 Digital Library features searchable, full-text books from Rittenhouse, publishers of nursing and health sciences literature. Additional features include an A-Z drug index and an image search.
Salem Health offers electronic resources that are also available in print format in the Information Commons at Piedmont Technical College. Currently, Magill's Medical Guide is available in this collection.
Salem History offers electronic resources that are also available in print format in certain library books at various library locations of Piedmont Technical College. Currently, Great Events from History (The Anicent World); Great Lives from History (The Renaissance; The Middle Ages), Historical Encyclopedia of American Business, and Musicians and Composers are all available in this collection.
Salem Literature offers several e-books that provide critical literary resources for well-known authors and works. Print versions of these books are also available in the Information Commons at Piedmont Technical College.
