HOBET is a program entry requirement for all students seeking entry in the Practical Nursing or Associates Degree in Nursing programs. Students are required to score a minimum of 65% in the mathematics and reading sections of the test to be eligible for clinical entry. Students majoring in an Associate degree or diploma program in Health Science are eligible to take HOBET in effort to gain additional Merit points.
Testing space is limited. Testing appointment should be scheduled early and appointments must be kept. Students should arrive 15 minutes early to the test site. Late arrivals may not be permitted to test. A photo ID is required. Students may only test twice within a twelve month period. Students are encouraged to use preparation materials to study prior to testing.

WorkKeys is a program entry requirement for all students seeking entry into Respiratory Care. Students are required to score a minimum of 4 in all testing areas to meet the Program-Ready requirement. Students should have this completed by the application deadline in May.
Testing space is limited. Testing appointment should be scheduled early and appointments must be kept. Students should arrive 15 minutes early to the test site. Late arrivals may not be permitted to test. A photo ID is required. Students are encouraged to use preparation materials to study prior to testing.
Preparation materials are available through all SC Works (One Stop/WIA) locations. Students may contact their county location for more information and access to study materials. Contact information for all locations can be found on SC Works.

Students will receive score sheets upon test completion. Students that meet the minimum scores should submit their score sheets to the Student Success Center prior to the application deadline in May.

Licensed practical nurses seeking entry into the Transition Nursing program must take the NLN Foundation of Nursing test and receive a score of 55 percentile or higher.
