Industrial Technology

The Center for Industrial Technology offers a wide range of classes to support the manufacturing industries in our seven-county area. We offer classes in OSHA safety, forklift, arc flash electrical safety, waste water, PLCs, electrical, mechanical, blue prints, precision measurements, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, hydraulics, pneumatics, cranes and rigging, etc. We also customize courses to meet industry needs for continuous improvement and training of team members.  We have a state-of-the-art industrial maintenance lab for maximum training opportunities equipped with the latest technology support.

Our core program is the PRIMEed Program for industrial maintenance technicians which has three main programs: Industrial Maintenance, Plant Operations, and Industrial Control Systems including PLCs. This is a “blended-learning” program which combines Web–delivered training with hands-on performance Validation. The programs consist of more than 232 on-line courses with pre- and posts-tests to ensure knowledge transfer coupled with more than 79 hands-on labs to validate the true skill performance of the person. This is all maintained on a Learning Management System (LMS) which tracks each student’s progress including reports for a complete history.
