Allied Health Sciences Scholarships

Maxine Williams Scholarship
Scholarship provided by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) for the purpose of providing educational assistance to deserving medical assisting students.  It is supported entirely by private contributions, and the AAMA Endowment assumes administrative costs of the fund as a service to the public and to the medical and medical assisting professions.  Eligibiliity: Students enrolled for a minimum of one semester in a postsecondary medical assisting program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) and having a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.  Award:  Awards of $1,000 and a one-year membership in the AAMA are granted based on academic ability and financial need. Applications:  Available only from CAAHEP accredited medical assisting program directors (Jane Walker, (864) 941-8526).

Medical Assisting Club Scholarship
The Piedmont Technical College Medical Assisting Club has established a $100 scholarship for a Medical Assisting student enrolled during Summer Term.  This scholarship is granted on the basis of academic excellence and financial need.  For more information, please contact Jane Walker at (864) 941-8526 or by e-mail at walker.j@ptc.edu.
