The Natural Sciences Department offers
instruction in Astronomy, Biology, and
Chemistry Physical Sciences and Physics to students enrolled in the Associate of
Science program or programs that require a
scientific background. (Physical
Sciences and Physics are administered
through the Mathematics
Department.) Students read
extensively, learn vocabularies, write
papers and use their math skills.
Chemistry and physics use relatively high
levels of algebra and some calculus.
Biology uses some statistics and graphical
analyses.
