Wednesday, July 4th marks the 21st
annual Family Fun Day and Independence Day Celebration to
be held at Piedmont Technical College. The celebration
will feature music, classic car, motorcycle and truck
shows, fireworks, rides and concessions that are all open
to the public. Musical entertainment, fireworks and
parking are free.
The
official kick-off for the event will be at 5 p.m., when
the 111th Signal Battalion of the South Carolina National
Guard raises the flag; children’s rides crank up and
concessions open for business. Musical entertainment will
include Joyride and Jason Sikes (an Elvis Presley
impersonator) with The Recaps featuring Sassy Brass. The
area’s largest fireworks display gets underway just after

Classic Car & Motorcycle Show is sponsored by the
Greenwood Corvette Club and pre-registration is required.
