Library Policies
The following policies are in place to
insure that the library remains a useful
and productive place for its students to
study and perform research.
Noise
& Disruption
Visitors are expected to be considerate of
others while in the Library.
-
Conversation
should be kept at a respectable level.
-
Group study
should take place in a library study room. Library staff will assist
in locating a place where visitors
might study together.
-
Cell phone
ringers should be silenced, and
students should leave the library or
use a private study room for
phone conversations.
Children
in the Library
It
is against library policy to allow
children unaccompanied by parent or
guardian in the library. Students or
Piedmont Technical College associates who
bring disruptive children into the library
will be asked to leave. It is absolutely
forbidden for children to be left alone in
the library. Adolescents who are
reading or studying are welcome to use the
library.
