Nursing Graduates Recognized at Pinning Ceremony

Recent graduates of Piedmont Technical College’s associate degree nursing program at the Lex Walters Campus-Greenwood were recognized in a pinning ceremony in May.

Benefactors and Community Leaders Honored by PTC Foundation

Benefactors and community leaders joined together at Piedmont Technical College recently to celebrate the successes of the past year with the annual benefactors’ event.

Fran Wiley, Piedmont Technical College Foundation executive director, welcomed those in attendance. The event was to honor Cornerstone Society members and benefactors who had contributed to the growth and success of the college.

At Piedmont Technical College’s recent spring commencement exercises, outstanding students from each of the college’s seven supporting counties were honored for academic achievement. 


Summer Camps Provide Options for All Ages

Young people looking for something different, fun and exciting to do this summer will find several options available on Piedmont Technical College’s Greenwood campus. Two special career-oriented camps in automotive and engineering technology will be offered as well as a variety of interest-based camps.

The James Medford Family Event Center at Piedmont Technical College was the setting for the culmination of many dreams for the more than 300 Piedmont Technical College graduates who took center stage in two commencement ceremonies.

Piedmont Technical College will be holding two spring commencement exercises on May 9. 

Journey Program Introduces Career Coach

Piedmont Technical College is providing more tools to help students complete a degree and enter the workforce. Through the Journey grant program, Piedmont Tech is introducing Career Coach.

“Career Coach is a tool to use with new and continuing students to assist them in deciding on a major as well as seeing what careers are available in our geographical area,” said Renee Carruth, director of Journey - Title III Grant. “The question most students ask is, when I graduate in two years, will I be able to find employment.”

Students Honored at Awards Ceremony

At Piedmont Technical College’s 39th annual Student Awards and Recognition Program, president Dr. Ray Brooks applauded the achievements of more than 75 student leaders.  The ceremony attracted students, faculty, staff, friends and family members.

Computer Technology Degree Offered in Newberry

it in newberyPiedmont Technical College has long prepared technicians to work in the continually advancing field of computer technology. Now, the college is expanding its degree offerings in Newberry with the addition of the information technology concentration.
