Scholarships Presented at Luncheon

Scholarships were presented to students and donors were recognized at the recent scholarship luncheon.

 

Piedmont Technical College student and Taylors resident James Davis, right, recently received the L. Ruple Harley, Sr. Memorial Scholarship. Davis, a funeral service major, is congratulated by Brenda Brooks, scholarship committee member. The scholarship is presented annually to a funeral service major with academic achievement, leadership abilities and financial need.

 

 

 

 

Piedmont Technical College student and Hodges resident Mackenzie Tharpe (left) was recently granted the Abbeville Savings and Loan Scholarship at the college’s annual scholarship luncheon. Tharpe, a building construction technology (BCT) major at Piedmont Technical College, is pictured with Abbeville S&L representative Andy Timmerman. Awarded annually to a BCT student from Abbeville or Greenwood, the scholarship is based on academic achievement and financial need.  

 

 

 

 

Piedmont Technical College student and Pelzer resident Chad Lucas recently received the Building Construction Technology Scholarship at the college’s annual scholarship luncheon. Lucas, a BCT student, is congratulated by Bobby Roche, BCT program coordinator. The scholarship is awarded annually based on academic achievement and financial need to Building Construction Technology majors. 

 

 

 

 

Four Piedmont Technical College students were awarded the Capsugel Scholarship at a recent scholarship luncheon. Pictured, from left, are Clairessa Dinkins, an Associate in Arts student from Leesville; Todd Raugh, a business student from Greenwood; Felicity Ray, an Associate in Arts student from Abbeville; Capsugel representative Shannon McCabe; and Lida Johnson, an associate degree nursing student from Donalds. Awarded annually, the scholarship is based on academic achievement and financial need.

 

 

Piedmont Technical College student and Lincolnton, Ga. resident Delando Clark (right) was recently awarded the David Sherer Memorial Scholarship at the college’s annual scholarship luncheon. Clark, an automotive technology major, is pictured with Brad Emery, automotive technology program coordinator. This annual scholarship is available to an automotive technology student with a GPA of 2.5 or higher who has financial need.

 

 

 

 

Two Piedmont Technical College students were recently awarded the Dr. Sandra Calliham Scholarship. Pictured are, from left, Rachel Watkins, an early care and education student from McCormick, and Crystal Pittman, scholarship committee member. Not pictured is Jenna Bertzfield, an Associate in Science student from Plum Branch. This scholarship is available to any senior graduating from McCormick High School who is pursuing a degree in (1) education or (2) health care field and shows a financial need, academic achievement and motivation to learn.

 

 

 

 

Piedmont Technical College student and Honea Path resident Brittany Magaha (right) was recently awarded the Annie Lee Swygert Scholarship. Magaha, an associate degree nursing student, is congratulated by Brenda Brooks, scholarship committee member. The scholarship is awarded each year based on academic achievement and financial need to a South Carolina resident.
