ZF Transmissions in Gray Court recently donated 14 transmissions to the Piedmont Technical College (PTC) Automotive Technology Program. Just as a transmission regulates the speed of an engine power directed to a vehicle’s tires, ZF’s donation to PTC is helping harness the power of education to move students forward in their careers and lives.

Back by popular demand, B.C. and Wizard of Id cartoonist Mason Mastroianni is the April presenter in the Piedmont Technical College (PTC) Visiting Artist Lecture Series. He will be on campus Thursday, April 27, 2023, at 3:30 in Room 102 of the Self Conference Center in Greenwood.

In fact, it is the most active phase of brain development and a window of time when thoughtfully researched educational interventions provide the most benefit. Recognizing how important quality early childhood education programs are to brain development and later academic success, SC Endeavor, a professional development system for South Carolina’s early childhood workforce, on Feb. 28, 2023, presented a check totaling $16,500 to the Piedmont Technical College (PTC) Early Care and Education (ECE) Program to champion this critical curriculum.

Federal Grant Enlists 3 SC Colleges to Increase Access, Placement in Advanced Manufacturing and Nursing

Institutions that support excellence in workforce development love company. Accordingly, the U.S. Department of Labor has selected Piedmont Technical College (PTC), Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College (OCtech), and Aiken Technical College (Aiken Tech) to form a consortium to develop a virtual Workforce Innovation Center for Advanced Manufacturing and Nursing — two sectors the agency identified as priority workforce needs. 

PTC Selected for Gates Foundation Higher Education Initiative

Piedmont Technical College (PTC) has been selected to participate in the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s “Intermediaries for Scale” (IFS) initiative, a $100 million investment over five years to forge and support a network of higher education institutions committed to institutional transformation that will create more student-centered campuses and reduce equity gaps in graduation rates.
