The Advanced Placement curriculum is designed to prepare qualified licensed practical nurses (LPN) to become associate degree nurses. Graduates of practical nursing programs must successfully complete NUR 201 (Transition Nursing) with a grade of "C" or better.

ALL general education courses required for the ADN program must be completed with the grade of "C" or better PRIOR to program entry. All students interested in the Transition Program must attend a mandatory Transition Nursing Information Session prior to applying to the program.
Upon successful completion of the Transition Nursing class (NUR 201), students will be placed into the curriculum as second-year ADN students. A student who begins senior level classes must complete the required three semesters within a 24 month period.
