Who Are We?SCADE’s purpose is to help prepare South Carolina residents to succeed in college and beyond. How? We seek to strengthen the knowledge, skills, and resources of developmental education faculty and administrators by helping them communicate with similar professionals in the state and nation; promoting professional development, curriculum design, and research activities; providing information about exemplary materials, trends, issues, and opportunities; and sponsoring state, regional, and local conferences and workshops. How Do I Join?SCADE welcomes any person who is concerned with providing the support services needed by an adult to succeed in her or his chosen educational career. Although our membership primarily represents those working in colleges and universities, our rolls include high school teachers, counselors, adult educators, workforce developers, and many others. Membership in SCADE provides both important direct benefits and the opportunity to improve the educational climate and systems for adults in South Carolina who see education as a key to achieving their goals. We welcome you to join us. Simply print out and complete the sign-up form and send it with your modest dues to Dorothy Allen-Greene at the address indicated. Our membership year runs from January through December.
