Seal DonationDeb Hite of Abbeville, right, recently established the Seal Art Gallery at the new Piedmont Technical College Abbeville Campus through a generous donation to the PTC Foundation. The gallery, named in honor of Hite’s father Mack W. Seal, will feature art from Abbeville County residents. Students looking to enroll in the Piedmont Technical College respiratory care program will notice changes for the fall semester. The curriculum has been revised to better accommodate the advances in the health care system and to streamline the path of students in the program.

Piedmont Technical College students who had outstanding academic accomplishments during the 2014 spring semester have earned inclusion on the President’s List. To be named to the list, students must be full time and earn a term GPA of 4.00. Students will receive a certificate of achievement signed by the college president.

Plus 50 Workshops Offered at Piedmont Technical College Campuses

Piedmont Technical College was recently chosen to join the Plus 50 Encore Completion Program, a national effort to train 10,000 baby boomers for new jobs in health care, education and social services. The program is sponsored by the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC).

The college will be offering informational workshops to help baby boomers chart their next steps including enrolling in one of the 13 health science and nursing programs available at Piedmont Tech.
