High Schoolers Earn College Credit in Partnership with Abbeville County School District

Eight Abbeville County students recently were honored for completing certificates during their dual enrollment at Piedmont Technical College (PTC) as high school students. PTC and the Abbeville County School District have enjoyed a great partnership that has resulted in many students completing courses as high school students. These dual enrollment students earn college credits leading to certificates, diplomas, and degrees at PTC. In some cases, their credentials are transferable to another college/university. Many also can be immediately used to secure employment.

Two PTC Nursing Students Receive Self Foundation Scholarships

Sprouse Named President-Elect of Pharmacy Technician Educators Council

Clay Sprouse, Med., CPhT, program director and instructor of pharmacy technology at Piedmont Technical College, recently was named president-elect of the Pharmacy Technician Educators Council (PTEC). The PTEC is the only national nonprofit professional association founded by and for pharmacy technician educators.

Piedmont Tech Holds 2 In-Person Graduations in May

In an encouraging sign of a slow and gradual return back to normal, Piedmont Technical College (PTC) on May 6 conducted two in-person graduation ceremonies. Nearly 140 spring term graduates made their time-honored walk across the stage and shifted their tassels from right to left at the Medford Family Event Center in Greenwood. That evening, in a separate ceremony, about 50 graduates from the entire 2020 academic year who wished to participate in person did the same. They already had officially graduated via virtual ceremonies last year.
