Two members of Piedmont Technical College’s Continuing Education and Economic Development division have been recognized for their outstanding work by the South Carolina Association for Higher Continuing Education (SCAHCE).
The Piedmont Education & Business Alliance recently hosted its eighth annual Guidance Standards and Career Development Workshop at Piedmont Technical College. The event drew nearly 100 school counselors and career development professionals from 10 school districts in Abbeville, Clinton, Edgefield, Greenwood, Laurens, McCormick, Newberry, Ninety Six, Saluda and Ware Shoals.
Recent graduates of Piedmont Technical College’s nursing program at the Greenwood campus were recognized in a pinning ceremony in December. Nearly 200 students graduated from the Piedmont Tech nursing program in 2010.

“We wanted to provide students with a one-stop option to enroll in classes,” said Tanisha Latimer, dean of enrollment management.
The Multipurpose building at Piedmont Technical College was the setting for the culmination of many dreams for the more than 200 Piedmont Technical College graduates who took center stage Thursday.
