A group of students and staff from Piedmont Technical College joined nearly 300 SC Technical College System students at the State House recently to show their support for the Lottery Tuition Assistance (LTA) program. Rex Reece has found that starting at Piedmont Tech can put you on the track to achieving your goals.
The Hodges native graduated from Greenwood High School in 2005 and decided to take a year off. When he was ready to enroll in college, he turned to Piedmont Technical College.
“I needed to work,” Reece said. “Piedmont Tech was close by and the night classes that were offered were very important to me.”
Piedmont Technical College students who had outstanding academic accomplishments during the 2011 summer term have earned inclusion on the President’s List. To be named to the list, students must be full-time and earn a term GPA of 4.00. Students will receive a certificate of achievement signed by the college president.
