February is Financial Aid Awareness Month, and Piedmont Technical College will be hosting a series of events designed to help college bound students understand the options that are available to them to make college more affordable.

Three Piedmont Technical College instructors have earned the Certified Online Instructor (COI) designation. Samantha Hauptman, Suzy Murray and Tamatha Sells have completed the certification program offered by the Learning Resources Network (LERN) which provides professional development and recognition for instructors of online courses.
Piedmont Technical College’s automotive technology program is continuing its winning ways with its student-built 1965 Cobra Replica, taking Best Race Car in the recent McCormick Car Show and earning recognition at the Saluda Classic Truck and Auto Show.
The engineering technology program and Tau Alpha Pi, the engineering technology honor society at Piedmont Technical College, recently celebrated National Engineers Week.
Evelyn Beck has been named Piedmont Technical College’s dean of Arts and Sciences. Beck replaces Donna Foster who was named associate vice president of institutional assessment and compliance in August.
