The Piedmont Education and Business Alliance (PEBA) is a partnership of area businesses and education in the counties of Abbeville, Edgefield, Greenwood, Laurens, McCormick, Newberry and Saluda.  Through the implementation of the Education and Economic Development Act and Personal Pathways to Success, PEBA connects students, parents, educators and employers to education and career opportunities.

Our Goals....

  1. Serve as a resource for all K-postsecondary students through the use of a rigorous/relevant curriculum that is aligned with State Standards and the State testing program.

  1. Provide professional development and preparation for educators by offering graduate courses, institutes and workshops.

  1. Support and facilitate the articulation process between secondary and postsecondary educational institutions.

  1. Strengthen the career development process, including career awareness, career exploration and career experience for all K-postsecondary students. Provide direction to the school districts and postsecondary institutions as they implement the Education and Economic Development Act.

These goals reflect PEBA's intent and responsibilities as outlined in the Memorandums of Understanding among the alliance, the school districts and Piedmont Technical College.
