Tobacco-Free Campus August 26, 2009 Print E-mail

Like many other colleges and universities across South Carolina, Piedmont Tech will become a tobacco-free campus beginning August 26. This includes all locations in Abbeville, Edgefield, Greenwood, Laurens, McCormick, Newberry and Saluda.

Some of the pharmaceutical companies offer smoking cessation aids for patients who are prescribed to use medicine to help them quit.  If you are taking any of the following medications to help you quit, look in the package insert for more information:

  • Bupropion SR (Zyban)
  • Chantix
  • Nicotine patch, gum, lozenge, inhaler or nasal spray
