Avery Scholarship Program
In order to help underrepresented freshman and transfer students
who have been accepted to CofC fund an excellent education, the College has
created the Avery Scholarship Program.
There is no application for an Avery Scholarship. Selection is
competitive based on a combination of a student's overall academic profile and
financial need. Priority will be given to legal residents of
South Carolina who have completed a FAFSA by March
1st.
Students who have participated in TRIO programs, a CofC bridge program with
a SC technical college, or similar programs, will receive strong consideration.
Avery scholars may receive up to $3,000 for each year of eligibility. In
order to renew the scholarship, a student must maintain a 2.75 minimum
cumulative GPA, file a FAFSA each year, and complete a minimum of 30 credit
hours per year.
Applicants who wish to speak to a transfer counselor at CofC contact
Cami Meyer (meyerc@cofc.edu)or
