Career planning services are available to all prospective, new, current, and returning students. The mission of the career planning services is to assist students in setting clear, achievable, satisfying career goals and in identifying strategies to achieve those goals.
Are You Undecided?
Many students enter college undecided about their major. Many students who have declared a major still may be undecided. The Career Planning and Counseling Services (CPCS) staff assists undecided students in clarifying goals and choosing a college major. Topics discussed during the career planning session may include:
- Strengths, interests, values and skills
- Learning styles
- Personal , educational, and career assessments
- Development of career plans
- Successful career transitions
- Career opportunities
- Desired education level
- Support Services
Current student but still “unsure” about your major?
Students who have declared a major once they have started Piedmont Technical College may become uncertain about the major they have chosen. Students who are uncertain about their future program of study are encouraged to make an appointment with a career counselor in the Career Planning and Counseling Services (CPCS).
