Federal Food Assistance Program
SC Government/WIC DHEC
Beginning 4/13, WIC participants will no longer be required to visit WIC clinics. Appointments and the issuance of nutritional services will instead be made over-the-phone. To apply for WIC, call 1-855-472-3432 to make an appointment.
SC Government
For individuals to apply for SNAP and TANF benefits. Some families to receive extra SNAP benefits. This benefit will be for March and April 2020. The highest monthly SNAP amount allowed for your family size. This will go directly onto EBT cards; no need to ask DSS to do this. SNAP households who are due to recertify in April or May 2020 will not need to do so. DSS will not be mailing out recertification paperwork for these months. TANF work conditions will also not be required during this time period.

Greenwood Food Bank
Beginning April 14, the Food Bank will be operating a Drive-Thru service, Tuesdays-Thursdays from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Meet us in the downhill parking lot that is located right beside our building on 222 East Avenue, you will see the Food Bank truck in the parking lot. ONLY 1 family per car, this will help make this drive thru system quick and efficient. Each client must have their ID card in hand to be serviced. Again, please note that only 1 family per car will be served. If you have any questions do not hesitate to call them at 864-227-1556, press 1.

South Carolina has ordered disconnection suspensions for utilities and cell phone service. Late fees may be waived. Bills will still need to be to paid at a later date. Bills will continue to accrue. Best to contact the individual utility company to arrange payment plan and inquire about late fees.
