Tuesday Topics for Success 

January 24: Understanding Motivation and Goal Setting 

Participants will discuss how to motivate themselves towards goal achievement. The goal of a college degree is within reach, and in this interactive workshop participants will have an opportunity to define their goals and visually outline them. February 7: Improve Your Writing Skills and Make Use of the Writing Center

February 21: Learn What's Needed to Transfer to a College or University

Celebrate Black History Month and learn about transferring. Visit with representatives from local Historically Black Colleges or Universities (HBCU) and hear about their transfer opportunities. Whether you are researching where to apply, completing admission essays, or somewhere in-between, this event is a great opportunity for you! Attend a workshop with PTC faculty/staff members who will share their experiences attending a HBCU, and gather transfer resources from PTC’s Transfer Coordinator. April 4: Financial Literacy - Hands-on Budgeting

Information will be provided on free resources to help guide you with money management responsibilities and goals. There will also be interactive activities to help you better understand how college degrees, credit, savings, and life goals can impact your household budget and future goals.
