Requirements:

Minimum and Additional Requirements
Associate degree in a related field +2 yrs. work experience in law enforcement; or HS diploma +4 yrs. work experience in law enforcement.  Must be certified by SC Law Enforcement Training Council in accordance with State Law (23-23-40) Law Enforcement Officer 1 (LE1) and be able to obtain a State Constables Commission.   Requires Current SC Drivers’ License.

Job Description:

Under the general supervision of the Director of Campus Police and Security, enforces state laws, college rules and regulations for the protection, safety and security of all individuals and the properties of Piedmont Technical College. Tour county campuses as directed through scheduling by the Director of Campus Police and Security. Plans, implements and coordinates safety training for the college, encompassing traffic, fire and job related areas, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
