     The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the effective operation, major & minor repair and changeovers of production equipment. Is the first point of contact in case of mechanical and process malfunction on production lines.

Works with Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Planner to establish, review, improve and execute plant maintenance system standards

Undertakes daily reporting and updates of information systems (SAP, SFR, Cycle Counts) including documentation of maintenance activities performed on equipment

Provides support on capital projects in the production floor and to determine recommended spare part list.

Participates in new equipment installation, validation and start up processes

Supports Failure Investigations in respective areas.

Highlights potential maintenance issues and takes corrective action including parts requisitioning and maintenance planning

Fabricates simple machine parts using the required shop equipment such as: lathe, drill press, milling machine and others

Replaces mechanic, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment when needed.

Recommends, decides and implements actions under daily operation pressure to drive production lines performance.

Accurately and fully completes all regulatory and compliance related documentation and procedures; highlights variances

Stays abreast of teams’ production performance via visual, written and verbal communications

Participates in regular review of team production performance and uses information to drive continuous improvement. Provides status of maintenance activity for line/area; recommends machine modifications

Participates in structured group or team activities related to line/area performance improvement e.g. autonomous maintenance, housekeeping, problem solving etc.

Seeks and understands production scheduling and demands. Prioritizes maintenance activities that support and facilitates these schedules and demands.

Position Description:

This position performs a variety of Account Specialist functions using technical skills, analysis and reporting with particular emphasis in Accounts Receivable and Fixed Assets.

Utilizing SCEIS, directs the allocation of all agency revenues, including tower leases, grants and other misc. billings.  Analyzes transactions in specific amounts, including operating revenues.  Allocates revenues to appropriate cost centers.  Primarily responsible for invoicing customers and sending demand letters.

Position Description:

Responsibilities: Is responsible for the direction and management of the department maintenance technicians, life support system (LSS) technicians and divers, and the courier/warehouse clerk.   • Determines and prioritizes daily maintenance work. Adjusts staffing to accommodate maintenance coverage for all 24‑hour emergency calls.
  • Responsible for developing, executing and maintaining all maintenance contracts and bid documents. Maintains all equipment records, drawings, licenses and certifications.
  • Assists in the management, planning and implementation follow up of in-house construction and renovation projects. Manages tram maintenance and all vehicle, equipment, and attraction maintenance. Coordinates work with contractors and zoo staff.
  • Responsible for communicating and coordinating exhibit/building closures for repairs and maintenance to minimize guest experience impact.
  • Operates medium to heavy equipment such as a forklift, vehicles, hand and small power tools, building systems, etc.
  • Cultivates and maintains a positive working environment. Effectively interacts and communicates with senior staff, employees, volunteers, and various groups including architects, engineers and design consultants. 
  • Develops a continuous improvement plan for the department as well as each staff member, focusing on enhancing team skill set and productivity. Ensures that technicians are given ample feedback and are rewarded for success and understand areas of needed improvement.
  • Analyzes and prepares a variety of reports/forms, billing invoices, engineering drawings, and general correspondence, manages all departmental purchases and the department budget, and compiles budget data.

  8. Run at established efficiency standards and ensures consistency with current process sheets. Maintaining established cycle times to ensure production output is met.

  10. Must accurately complete required paperwork, in-process tags, scrap reports, and other reports as outlined by the manufacturing/quality systems.

  11. Keeps work area clean and organized to established 5 ‘S’ standards.

  12. Willing to complete 20 weeks of training in Industrial Manufacturing Technician (IMT) that includes eLearning instructor led class and certifications.Training covers comprehensive Manufacturing 101 theories.
