Duke Energy South Carolina recently made a generous contribution to the Piedmont Technical College Foundation for the establishment of the Duke Energy Workforce Pathways Scholarship. Pictured at the check presentation are, from left, Theo L. Lane, district manager for government and community relations for Duke Energy South Carolina; Ron Millender, PTC Foundation board member and Greenwood Promise steering committee chairman; and Fran Wiley, assistant vice president for development with the PTC Foundation. “Scholarship support is an investment in future leadership. The Duke Energy Workforce Pathways Scholarship, also available to Greenwood Promise candidates, will help build our local workforce,” Lane said. “Our State benefits greatly from the strength and impact of our technical college system, and Duke Energy is proud of our partnership with Piedmont Technical College in supporting the academic growth of our talented youth.”
