More than 350 Piedmont Technical College students and alumni recently took advantage of the college’s 34th annual Employers Day. Representatives from over 75 businesses, industries and service agencies were on hand to offer information about current and future job opportunities.
“While this is not an official job interview, we stress the importance of making a good first impression,” said David Rosenbaum, associate dean of Student Services. “We encourage students to dress professionally, bring resumes and be prepared to discuss their qualifications.”
Coordinated by PTC’s Student Success Center, the event is an opportunity for students to gain experience talking with employers in a more relaxed and informal setting. The annual event provides an opportunity for businesses to meet with a wide variety of potential employees who are in the process of gaining skills vital to their organizations.
