Piedmont Technical College president Dr. Ray Brooks, back right, honored eight college associates and community leaders with the Presidential Medallion, the institution’s most prestigious award, at PTC’s recent fall commencement exercises. Pictured with Brooks accepting the Presidential Medallions were, front from left, Lisa Bartanus, corporate training director; Alesia Brown, associate vice president of human resources; Thelma Woody, Area Commission Abbeville County; and Dr. Jeremy Lord, retired chairman of Paskill Stapleton & Lord. Back, Josh Black, associate vice president for enrollment and communications; Rusty Denning, associate vice president of Economic Development and Continuing Education; Chad Teague, director of facilities management; Ronnie Cromer, State Senator for District 18; and Brooks. Instituted in 1991 during the college’s silver anniversary celebration, the medallions recognize individuals who have made significant contributions toward excellence in education.
