A team from Piedmont Technical College traveled to Sumter last month to participate in the SC Technical College System’s 36th Annual Welding Skills Competition. The event was hosted by Central Carolina Technical College. Midlands Technical College, Tri-County Technical College, Spartanburg Community College, Florence-Darlington Technical College, Greenville Technical College, Horry Georgetown Technical College, York Technical College and Aiken Technical College also sent teams to the competition.
Students Jessi Boland, William Raines, Gabriel Litzenberger, Matt Protheroe and Darli Rodriguez represented PTC admirably, placing within the top 8 in their categories amid fierce competition. Congratulations to these young welders.
