Piedmont Technical College recently held its annual Scholarship luncheon. The following recipients were among those honored:
Three Piedmont Technical College students recently received the Butler Derrick Scholarship at the college’s annual scholarship luncheon. Pictured from left are Lacy Robinson, an associate of science student from Fountain Inn; presenter Debbie Walling; and Theresa McDonald, an associate degree nursing student from Greenwood. Not pictured is Satyn DeBerry, an ADN student from Greenwood. The scholarship, named for Congressman Butler Derrick, is awarded annually to associate degree students in high academic standing.
Piedmont Technical College student and Troy resident Brandon Brooks (right) was recently awarded the David Sherer Memorial Scholarship at the college’s annual scholarship luncheon. Brooks, an automotive technology major, is pictured with Mike Rodgers, automotive technology program coordinator.

Lisa Winn, a computer technology student from Edgefield (right) is congratulated by Brenda Brooks, scholarship committee member and presenter. The scholarship is awarded annually to an Edgefield County student and is based on academic achievement and financial need.
Piedmont Technical College student and Waterloo resident Kimberly Dickerson (right) was recently awarded the Laurens Rotary Scholarship at the college’s annual scholarship luncheon. Dickerson, an associate degree nursing major, is pictured with Jeff Field from the Laurens Rotary Club. This scholarship is available to Laurens County students showing academic achievement and financial need.

The scholarship is awarded annually to a Newberry County resident and is based on academic achievement and financial need.
Piedmont Technical College student and Ware Shoals resident Rebecca Mast (right) was recently awarded the Veterinary Technician of Excellence Scholarship at the college’s annual scholarship luncheon. Mast, a veterinary technology major, is congratulated by Sylvia MacFarlane, veterinary technology program coordinator. The scholarship is presented to second year veterinary technology students who demonstrate academic excellence, professionalism and participation in community activities.
